RESSORT Open Toolkit
Reusable Resources for Soft Robotics Research and Innovation
The RESSORT Open Toolkit will bring together public tools and resources generated across the project. It is designed to support researchers, SMEs, integrators, students and other innovators working on soft materials, robot design, manufacturing, sensing, control and validation.
Design and CAD Resources
Reference geometries, design examples and reusable component models for soft robotic structures and demonstrators.
Co-Design and Simulation Workflows
Tools and guidance for linking user requirements, engineering specifications, simulation and design decisions.
Manufacturing Guidance
Design-for-additive-manufacturing guidance, process windows, material and fabrication considerations, and validation examples.
Datasets and AI Models
Public multimodal datasets, trained models and example logs released in line with ethics, data-protection, IP and exploitation requirements.
Control Software
Reusable software components for adaptive behaviour, uncertainty-aware control, sensing integration and human-robot interaction.
Testing and Validation Resources
Test methods, benchmark definitions, evidence templates and examples supporting performance, safety, durability and healing assessment.
Sustainability Resources
Lifecycle-assessment guidance, design-for-repair and disassembly considerations, and sustainability-aware decision support.
Training Materials
Tutorials, webinar recordings, course materials and demonstrator-based learning resources.
Open and Responsible by Design
Resources will be shared through appropriate repositories such as Zenodo, GitHub and AI-on-Demand, using persistent identifiers and licences suitable for the type of asset. Publication decisions will balance open-science commitments with data protection, safety, intellectual property and commercialisation needs.
